River North Art Walk

Catherine Edelman Gallery
Standing outside the Edelman Gallery and peering inside, I was surprised to see so many people enjoying the art walk. Now that I have discovered these Chicago gallery walks, I will definitely enjoy more in the future.

Gregory Scott is the featured artist at the Edelman Gallery until November 1, and his work is amazing! He combines photography, painting & video to create his unique art. Scott’s work explores art, how we look at art, and how we choose art. As the star in his own videos, Scott creates fascinating illusions and humorous scenarios. I really enjoyed his piece entitled “Don’t Fade Away”. Below, is a photo of “Half Dome”, a piece that alludes to Ansel Adam’s art. Check them out!

Each of Scott’s pieces have a video mounted within the image. Quite a crowd gathered around to view Scott’s “Warholian”. Just think, if you have an extra $22,000 in pocket change, you will be able to purchase one of Scott’s pieces! I would love to own one.
